Hats for smoothies!

I’ve done my bit.
6 hats for smoothies for Age UK.
I’m almost loath to part with them, they look so cute.
I’ve been wondering what I could adorn with these mini hats around the house; apart from boiled eggs!
My daughter made the pom poms.

About lovelucie1

I cannot sit without something in my hands to sew, crochet, sketch etc. This becoming something of an addiction. In fact, I start to get twitchy if I am stationary somewhere, waiting for an appointment, waiting for my daughter, away with work, without some project to keep my hands busy. Minutes wasted make me anxious. This blog logs my progress to raise funds through my creations to feed my textile habbit.

  6. They are very gorgeous:) It’s such a clever, and fun campaign to raise awareness re the brand and about being warm in winter – in Norwich UK 18 people died of excess cold last year – really shocking

    • I love the idea, the money raised and the general awareness increased. It is good to see a company like Coca Cola (who own Innocent) support a UK cause but I hope it is more than a mere drop in the ocean for them.

Love your hats they are so cute 🙂 I have been knitting some myself and I plan on carry on knitting them as they have confirmed they are doing a Big Knit 2014 🙂 What size were your pom poms though? As I have really struggled to make mine small enough

    • The pom poms are about 1.5 to 2cm across. We made them by wrapping the yarn around 2 fingers and then tying a piece of yarn around the middle, in between your 2 fingers. Pull the yarn off your fingers, then tie the yarn tighter. Then cut through the loops and trim to size. It was a 2 person job to tie the yarn tight enough for the Pom Pom not to fall apart.

thank you so much 🙂 I was trying the traditional way by making pom pom templates out of cardboard and what I thought was small was still too big but I shall give this a go 🙂
