Crochet for toasty toes

Crochet for toasty toes

It’s my god-daughter’s birthday in November. I never forget the date. She was born on my birthday!
I think (???) she’ll be 10.

I like to make something extra special and I’m very pleased with how this make is going.

It is completely inspired by Patch’s hot water bottle cover

who was, in turn, inspired by Fox’s Lane granny square hottie.

Here are my squares

I’ve tried to go for Cath Kidston type colours.
Last night I completed the first side.

My daughter has already put in a request.

About lovelucie1

I cannot sit without something in my hands to sew, crochet, sketch etc. This becoming something of an addiction. In fact, I start to get twitchy if I am stationary somewhere, waiting for an appointment, waiting for my daughter, away with work, without some project to keep my hands busy. Minutes wasted make me anxious. This blog logs my progress to raise funds through my creations to feed my textile habbit.

  10. It looks quite peppermint and Christmassy with the red and white…. A bit like candy canes.
